MEP Superintendent - Healthcare
Full Time • New York
SRE Engineering, D.P.C., a certified M/WBE and DBE engineering and construction management firm, is seeking an MEP Superintendent to provide field-level oversight of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction on NYC Health + Hospitals capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site field supervision of all MEP installations across assigned healthcare construction projects
- Monitor MEP contractor performance, schedule compliance, and quality of workmanship
- Coordinate planned shutdowns, utility tie-ins, and system cutovers with active hospital facility operations
- Verify all MEP work is installed per approved submittals, shop drawings, and contract documents
- Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA and facility safety protocols
- Maintain detailed daily MEP field logs and report findings to the MEP Project Manager
- Assist with MEP systems testing, balancing, and commissioning activities
- Identify and report non-conforming MEP work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors
Qualifications
- 10+ years of MEP construction supervision or field management experience
- Healthcare facility construction experience strongly preferred; occupied building experience required
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems in institutional settings
- Familiarity with NYC building codes, DOB inspection requirements, and Joint Commission standards
- Experience coordinating MEP work in active, occupied healthcare environments (ICRA/ILSM protocols a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting and contractor coordination
- Proficiency in Procore, Kahua, or equivalent CM software a plus

Compensation: $135,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
